CDG Invest Growth Completes Its Exit from Trarem Afrique

CDG Invest Growth announces the exit of Capmezzanine II Fund from Trarem Afrique, a leading player in professional office furniture and workspace design in Morocco. This transaction consists in the buyback of the fund’s stake by Mr. Samir Bennis, CEO and co-shareholder of the Group.

Founded in 1957, Trarem Afrique is an industrial company specializing in the design, manufacturing, import, and distribution of workspace fit-out solutions for professional environments, including offices, seating, storage units, tables, and executive furniture.

CDG Invest Growth, through Capmezzanine II Fund, joined Trarem Afrique’s shareholding structure in 2018, through a combined operation of capital increase and partial share buy-out. The investment supported the modernization of the company’s industrial platform, the strengthening of its governance, and its commercial and financial transformation.

This transaction marks the successful completion of a close partnership with Trarem Afrique during key phases of its development, during which the Group significantly scaled up its local production — now accounting for the majority of its revenue — while redesigning its commercial organization, streamlining its cost structure, strengthening its financial management tools, and structuring its governance bodies. The exit was finalized in June 2025.

Hassan Laaziri, CEO of CDG Invest Growth, stated:
This transaction marks the culmination of a rich and constructive partnership with Trarem. We are proud to have supported this historic player in Moroccan industry through a profound transformation, both industrially and organizationally. Trarem has strengthened its fundamentals over recent years, and we are pleased to have contributed to this journey. We wish them every success in their next steps.

CDG Invest Growth was advised in this transaction by DLA Piper (legal advisor).
